If you are having trouble listening to any of our radio streams then it may well be due to the configuration of your media player.

Windows Media Player Configuration

The majority of our listeners use Windows Media Player for listening on-line. If you are having problems listening to BFBS Radio on-line with Windows Media Player then please follow the steps below.

1. Open Windows Media Player.
2. Select Tools from the top menu.
3. Select Options from the drop down menu.
4. Select the File Types tag in the Options pop-up window.
5. Select Windows Media File (asf) from the list, i.e. ensure that the tick box next to it is ticked.

This will ensure that Windows Media Player is set as your default player for our radio streams.

Linux

Many of our listeners use Linux operating systems and are able to listen BFBS Radio on-line.

Kaffeine and VLC media players have been used successfully by Linux users. Problems have been reported using MPlayer which seem to be specific to the player itself and not the operating system or BFBS Radio streams.
