Dave Raven

Dave got his first break in radio with BBC's Radio 1 Club in 1970. Six
years of local radio later he set off to find his fortune in Malta. Instead
he found BFBS and worked for them for 21 years before reverting to a
freelance life in 1997. At one stage he was the most travelled BFBS
presenter working in every one of the overseas stations.

He sailed his first boat when he was 15 and has been around the water ever
since. A Naval Architect before turning full time DJ, he has owned 3
sailing boats in the Med and now lives on a houseboat on the Thames near
Hampton Court, with 2 canoes, a rowing boat and a small cabin cruiser.

He indulges his love of the Blues, Technology and Gadgets with his
programmes for BFBS and for the rest of his time runs a video production
company from the top deck of his houseboat.
