David Rodigan

Hear the word reggae, and you immediately think of Rodigan. David's reputation is renown around the world by radio listeners, reggae fans, and some of the biggest selling reggae artists in the business.

David's story began in 1951 in a Military hospital in Hanover, Germany where he was born. By the age of 15 he was Dj-ing at local schools and the highlights of his life since include starring roles in 2 movies, hit shows for Radio London, Capital, and KISS 100 London. But it's David's regular homages to Jamaica that have helped set him up as one of the world's most respected reggae aficionados.

In the last couple of years Rodigan's repertoire on BFBS has widened to include Soul, R&B, and Hip Hop but for Reggae fans around the world, it still rules as the Essential guide to the Caribbean's biggest and best ever export. That's Reggae, not Rum.
