Annwen Campbell-Smith

Annwen joined BFBS Radio One in 2001 as a trainee broadcaster after being selected out of several hopefuls during a large recruitment drive, and has since enjoyed many overseas detachments to Cyprus, Gibraltar, the Falkland Islands and Bosnia. Highlights include visiting troops in Bosnian camps with model Caprice; taking trips in five different types of helicopters; being winched by a Sea King, and TV reporting for the BBC 1 Remembrance Programme.

On her return to BFBS UK in May 2006, Annwen has presented and produced programmes for BFBS Radio One’s network around the Forces world, from the lively Early Riser in the morning, and the pop based, light-hearted magazine programme in the afternoon, to the ground breaking, diverse style of music for the Evening Show.
