Chris is another BFBS DJ who kicked off his career in hospital radio in his hometown of Dartford, Kent. He also worked with South-East London cable station Radio Thamesmead. Within months of finishing A Levels he landed his first radio job with North Sea pirate, Radio Caroline. He followed that with a spell onboard another radio ship, the Peace Ship, home to the Voice of Peace, an English language top 40 station off the coast of Tel Aviv in Israel. Back in the UK he worked his way round some of London's pirate stations including Skyline, JFM and the then pirate Kiss whilst running Radio HMV in London's Oxford Street. Six years followed in commercial radio with Invicta (Kent), Power FM (Hants), Contact 94 (in France), Chiltern (Herts), Key 103 (Manchester), Essex FM, Radio Nova and UK wide on The Superstation. He also presented inflight radio shows for a number of years for Singapore Airlines and produced speech packages for London's Capital Radio.

He joined BFBS in London in 1991 and has worked in Cyprus, Iraq, Belize, the Falklands, Kosovo, Bosnia, Kuwait, Oman, Germany, Northern Ireland.

His weekly Dance show Friday Dance marked its tenth anniversary on January 14th 2005. Catch the show and get your weekend underway every Friday night from 6pm UK time. Click here for full details in your area.

When not on-air he's a keen flyer, holding a Private Pilot's Licence.  He says that his best flying moments were managing to find an aircraft to borrow so that he could fly in the Falklands (cheers Paul!), flying over the Pyramids in a 4-seater Cessna, overflying the Mohne Dam in the style of 633 Sqn, weekend trips to Beirut from Cyprus and two great flights with RAF pilots "at the wheel".  One was with 1435 Flight in a Tornado in the Falklands Islands, the other getting a hands on go of piloting a Red Arrow Hawk at RAF Akrotiri.  "I logged 35 minutes flying time and didn't stop grinning for a month afterwards", says Chris.
