Mr Dhruba Gautam

Having served for fifteen years as a Queen's Gurkha Engineer in such exotic postings as Hong Kong, Dhruba eventually found himself on a two-year attachment to the BFBS Gurkha Radio station at Shornecliff. Previously a very committed and multi-talented sportsman, he was pleasantly surprised to discover that his ‘new found role' as a broadcaster even provided him with an opportunity to stay in one piece! He thoroughly enjoys his job and especially the chance to maintain very strong contact with the Gurkha colleagues and friends who he formerly served alongside and now broadcasts to. His 2006 arrival in Brunei coincided with his promotion to the position of Programme Organiser for the local Gurkha Radio service. He loves life in Brunei and lives here with his wife Pabitra and his two children, Nikki & Niraj.
