Ian Noakes

Ian is back in Cyprus after time spent in the Falklands, Bosnia, BFBS UK and Gibraltar. It's an Island he regards as a second home, and no-one was happier when he was asked to move back there in the Summer of 2006.

Before working at BFBS Radio, Ian spent five happy years in UK commercial radio. He still shudders involuntarily at the thought of opening local village fetes in front of six people and a dog…

It’s also true he used to announce the team changes at his beloved Stamford Bridge in the days of Cascarino and Fleck. He now follows Chelsea from afar; probably a good thing with ticket prices the way they are!

His time at BFBS UK coincided with Chelsea's Premiership championship winning season and birth of son Bobby. He's adjusting to life following the Blues in the sun again and sometimes gets all misty eyed about a pint in the Fox and Pheasant before the game in London SW6.
