  Jonny, a born and well bred Belfast man, got involved in radio back in the days when pirate radio was all the rage. After working for a few stations in Northern Ireland including Q102, Citybeat 96.7 and the newly launched 7fm he decided that Northen Ireland was too small, too cold and didn't have enough good looking women to go around so, he thought it was time for a change, and yes, you guessed it, BFBS was his first choice! After beating Charles the controller of BFBS Radio in an arm wrestle and sending the head of HR on an all expenses paid holiday to America, he was welcomed on board the BFBS Ship.

Let's hope he doesn’t rock the boat too much as Jonny's claim to fame was to play an unedited version of Eminem's 'Without Me' which received 35 complaints and made the national newspapers.

Lets see if the man who's upset every member of parliament, every celebrity and who's had more mentions in the local news papers than Jade Goody, can keep himself out of trouble with BFBS.

Jonny is happy to be working away from commercial radio in the UK and is looking forward to water skiing in Cyprus because that’s what he has been told people at BFBS do there all day... (he'll learn the hard way! - Ed!)
