This is Jennifer’s first job and one she has been preparing for
since studying at Queen’s College in Taunton. Her early interest
in radio led to voluntary work with 1431 Apple AM at Musgrove Park Hospital
before heading for the Royal Holloway University of London to study history
– and join their award winning radio station Insanity.
Jennifer presented a show every week for three years and during the last
two Insanity has been voted 2nd at the Radio 1 awards for best student
radio station. Whilst there, as head of promotions, Jennifer brokered
a deal with the local cinema, which led to her broadcasting for Insanity
before every film in all 10 screens.
Jennifer had long held an ambition to work for BFBS and with a relative
in the RAF Jennifer is keen to support the welfare of the Military. She
said,
‘I am really excited to be working for BFBS. It gives me the opportunity
to combine my two loves of travel and radio.’
