Mario Chrisostomou

Born of Greek Cypriot stock in 'Nawf' London when it was still safe to play in the streets (ok, so maybe he's not THAT old!), Mario is married to childhood sweetheart Mandy. They have two children, and Mario regularly reminds them that following the fortunes of Arsenal Football Club is a lot less hassle than Parenthood; All they have to do is ‘Believe’.

He was Pressganged into Radio in Cyprus by buddy (and current BFBS N.Ireland manager) Chris Pearson. Dafter still, he sold his bar to travel the world with his family and BFBS; “...I bought shares in Pickfords the movers, business wasn't too good... I had to do my bit".

After stints in Cyprus (twice), The Falklands and Germany, Mario's now in Gibraltar where he is our Station Manager.

He knows Choons and "Keeps it real" on The Groove Collective Friday nights at 11pm.

Mario’s ambition is to celebrate an Arsenal treble (quiet Man U !) while he’s still young enough to lift the glass of Champers unaided....
