I began
my professional broadcasting career back in the seventies on Radio Orwell
in Ipswich, one of the first local commercial radio stations in the UK.
I’ve been working in radio ever since, on both commercial and BBC
stations, and joined the BFBS team in 1999, producing and presenting programmes
on BFBS Radio 2 from our UK Headquarters in Buckinghamshire.
I moved to Cyprus with my family in August 2002 to become the BFBS representative
in the Eastern Sovereign Base Area and to present my daily Breakfast Show
on BFBS Radio 2 for our Forces audience on the island. I also present
my weekly country music show Nigel
Rennie Country.
Despite being a proud Yorkshireman, I have in fact lived in East Anglia
for many years, hence the reason I’m an Ipswich Town Football supporter!
