Hi Sim,

I've just received my prize from your show but most importantly “The Mouse of Destiny” Mouse Mat which is ace! It has now replaced my BFBS “Pre-Empt the Papers with Lynne & Mark” mouse mat which had become a little tatty.

Cheers!

Al Kirk

Cheers Sim, keep up the brilliant work. You make a lot of people smile everyday (and I hate camping as well. I'd rather pull my nails out with a pair of tweezers!!!)

Best wishes and happy days

Hi Sim,

You gotta ask for a pay rise chap!
Simply the best show on the old BFBS wireless, nice to hear a wide choice of
everything. Including those Vinyl Resting Place ditty's! Make the old brain
matter tick! Reminders of home, not too different to Chris Moyles and Scott
Mills on BBC Radio 1.

Love the show, I listen all day at work to BFBS (one of the good habits I got from my ex !)

Hi Sim

I've been meaning to email you just to say how much I enjoyed your show on Saturday. Great idea to get the mash-up producers to give their own favourites.

Your show is always enjoyable and always has great flow but as a mash-up producer, it's obviously the genre I like and it was great hearing a lot of good mash-ups on one show. Keep up the good work.

Spider

I love the show, sort of mix of music that commercial radio won't touch and a presentation style more relaxed than BBC Radio 1. Your show is addictive!

Hi Sim  (the M being for Muppet)

Keep up the great shows, you make my wife and I laugh so much (creeping a little bit)!

Best Regards,

Richard and Chrissy in Dortmund Germany

Hi Sim

You are the most hilarious DJ I've ever heard on the
radio!!!

Hey Sim, I gotta say I love your show. Listen to it while doing the house work!

Elena

As ever Sim, keep up the good work; your show is pure listening pleasure, particularly the anecdotal stories. All the very best.

Vroom vroom!

We're all a bit petrol-head-tastic this week as we did the show live from the British International Motor Show on Tuesday!

On that theme, check out this week's star car prize!

Video killed the radio car

During the OB from the Motor Show I got flung around in the passenger seat of a highly powerful Westfeld sports car. You can see the video of me doing that right here! The sound is from the little camera, not the microphone you see me holding, so isn't great - but the pictures more than make up for that, especially the G-Force indicators! (I want those on my Renault Scenic!)

We had a CD selector vote on Wednesday. 3 more tracks from the list chosen by listeners battled for a slot on our ultimate summer CD:

Bob Marley - Sun Is Shining

Style Council - Long Hot Summer

Sam Sparro - Black & Gold

The winner with 51% of your votes was Sam Sparro! If you voted you're in with a chance of winning the final album!

You can see how the album's shaping up, and see the full list of suggested tunes here.

WIN! WIN! WIN!

It's the UK motorshow this week, but has there ever been a better car than KITT?

K.I.T.

It takes genuine talent to outshine an acting juggernaut like David Hasselhoff. But, unbelievable though it may seem, the Hoff was once upstaged by a car. And it wasn't just any old car, it was KITT, or to give its full title, the Knight Industries Two Thousand.

This sleek, customised Pontiac Trans-Am was impervious to attack, could cruise at 300mph and was loaded with hi-tech armaments. It could even talk, albeit in an incredibly camp, condescending voice. And now you can own a fully-functioning, R/C version of one of rubbish TV's greatest vehicles.

KITT

The Hoff The Knight Rider R/C Car doesn't have a molecular bonded shell, and it can't leap through the air (unless you throw it). It does, however, travel forwards, backwards, left and right, and boasts a 'turbo-boost' function. It also emits that familiar whooshing sound and features a working red sensor on the hood. Best of all, this tribute to an 80s legend talks when you hit a button on the transmitter: 'I am KITT, whom you may regard as the voice of the Knight 2000.'

Win it by entering any of our competitions this week!

Blame Simon!

He's the producer. Blame him.

Our sheepish producer is back! Run for the hills!!

All of these are genuine confessions, but which can we blame Simon for? Did he....

a) Have such a bad row with his girlfriend on holiday that she swam out to sea to get away from him, and swam all the way to another resort

b) Attempt to impress a girl on holiday by paying $1,000 to rescue a giant lobster from a sea-side fish market that she wanted to release back into the sea.

c) Cause the mass evacuation of a beach by police when he discovered a box on unexploded fireworks washed up on the sand

Corporal Crumpet

...and his big pop trumpet!

To bag the ALL NEW Mouse Of Destiny mousemat, and be in with a chance of winning our star prize this week, just tell us the big pop hit being played by Corporal Crumpet on his big pop trumpet!

Expect our favourite military musician to make an appearance on Tuesday and Thursday this week, if we can drag him away from his 'Reveille' duties at Catterick.

Tipsy Talker

They tried to make me go to rehab but I said "No, no, no...because I wasn't actually tipsy, it was just a game"

We tinkered like naughty tinkering things with a celeb's vocal chords to make them sound a little squiffy.

But just who is 'tired and emotional' this week?

No pic this week for technical reasons (PC at my desk can't overlay a foaming pint across a celeb's face!) so tune in and try and work it out!

Friday Mash

Another blend of tunes forms something wondrous before your very ears!

DJ Spider provides a nicely topical mashup for us this week - Dizzy Rascal, the UK's current number 1, gets mashed with Justin & Madge. It's gone down a storm at Spider's club nights but hasn't been available for download. Hear this as yet unreleased mashup this Friday aftrenoon!
