MULTI-CHANNEL BFBS SATELLITE QUICK HELP GUIDE

Connecting the box to your TV/VCR
To view BFBS programmes, you need to connect your BFBS box to your TV and/or VCR via a Scart or RF lead (see User Manual Adobe Acrobat Reader required).

Viewing card entitlement
Cards are usually entitled for a period of 12 months from issue. In the month prior to your current entitlement expiring, you will receive a reminder message on your TV screen. To renew your entitlement, please call the Helpline or visit our web site for further information (see details below).

Obtaining a viewing card
Viewing cards are administered locally, and you should have been advised who to contact to obtain your card. If in doubt, please call the Helpline.

Cards issued by one of our shops or offices will be activated automatically at approximately 16:45 UK time Monday to Friday.

If the card is issued by another location or by post from our head office you will need to telephone the helpline to confirm your identity, location and entitlement before the card can be activated that evening.

YOUR CARD IS NOT TRANSFERABLE. When leaving the area it must be returned to the issuer. If your card is lost or stolen you should contact the Helpline immediately so that it can be cancelled.

Reporting faults
If you have a problem, you should ring the Helpline (numbers below). An operator will be able to determine the likely cause and, if necessary, arrange for an engineer to visit or authorise replacement of the box.

Do I own the box and the viewing card?
No. Both the box and the viewing card are the property of SSVC/MoD. The box must be left in your accommodation when you leave. This STB cannot be used for any other satellite system. The viewing card must be returned to the issuing authority or else you must call the Helpline to have it cancelled.
