Chris Pearson

Chris joined BFBS from commercial radio in 1992 and has worked for both radio and TV in Germany, Belize, Cyprus, the Falkland Islands, Iraq, Bosnia, Kosovo, Oman and Kuwait.

He currently works as our radio station manager in Northern Ireland where he also works as a video journalist (VJ) for BFBS Reports. The changing face of Northern Ireland right now is providing plenty of opportunity to get out and about in the Province. The march toward peace in the Province is well underway, but we're not there yet and last summer saw Chris in the thick of the rioting filming the action as the Orange Order marchers passed through the Belfast flashpoint of the Ardoynne shopfronts.

Highlights of Chris's TV work have included a trip onboard HMS Sutherland to South Georgia for a series of stories, filming the first joint British/Argentine Naval exercise since the Falklands War, the Desert Ashes cricket match in Iraq, a trip to Kuwait with the Kings Regiment and filming a couple of stories in Baghdad with the team from the Baghdad Support Unit.
