| Results of BFPO Test Letter Survey
Below are the results of a test letter survey conducted by BFBS stations around the world (Tables 1-5).
Each location posted 4 letters, circumstances permitting:
1x letter via BFPO service to BFPO 15 – Herford in Germany
1x letter via BFPO service to a UK civilian address postcode SL9 8TN
1x letter via local postal service (where available) to BFPO 15
1x letter via local postal service (where available) to UK civilian address SL9 8TN
All the letters were posted on 4 February 2008, except for those posted in Cyprus, which were sent on 6 February 2008.
A second survey, assessing the time for post to be delivered from the UK was also conducted (Table 6).
A letter was posted from BFBS UK under BFPO contract from the UK to each of the participating locations, thus attempting to eliminate any external delivery element.
The figures shown are the total number of working days (Mon-Fri) taken for the letter to be delivered.
