Meet the gang!
Amy
Name: Amy Garcia
Star Sign: Gemini
From: Wakefield, (a Yorkshire lass!)
Room 785 is a really fun show to work on. The 785 team are great... and the other presenters aren't too bad either! My favourite part of the show is when I receive hilarious photo's from the viewers, especially when they dress up their pets. My most memorable moment so far at BFBS was filming the Christmas Panto with the other presenters... we were hysterical all day! Paul in a dress is enough to make anyone giggle a bit.
Loves: Travel - When I was 18 I travelled the world and swam with dolphins, trekked through the rain forest and went scuba diving so to do all that again would be fab! I love an adventure and trying something that scares me!
Favourite show: Blue Peter and Michaela's Wild Challenge... I'm hooked.
Amazing Fact You Did Not Know: I can do tongue tricks... it's a unique talent which involves touching my nose with my tongue and waves!

Emma
Name: Emma Joanne Lee
Born: Birmingham
Star Sign: Leo
Football Team: Birmingham City
I love presenting on Room 785. I get to giveaway all the latest computer games and prizes, watch TV all afternoon and talk, which for a self confessed chatterbox is a dream come true.
Loves: Scuba diving, surfing, swimming anything involving water really.... and fashion.
Favourite show: Michaela's Wild Challenge, I'd love to work on it.
Amazing Fact You Did Not Know: I can hold my hands behind my back and lift them over my head without letting go.... weird! |

Fred
Name: Fred Harris
Fred Harris is a legend. It's official. Anyone on Earth who has ever as much as brushed passed a TV set in the last 30 years will have seen him in action. In fact there are probably aliens in outer space who know him on first name terms. Fred's passions, as viewers know only too well, are maths, music and magic. And a small chimp called Huxley.
Loves: Music - He was a musician and an actor before he shot to fame on a very famous old children's programme called Play School . Since then he's presented thousands of radio and television shows, many of them winning awards (including a BAFTA), and lots of them helping people understand maths and science while having a laugh at the same time.
Fred has four drum kits and fifteen saxophones (and some very patient neighbours!). His hobbies are playing sax with a rock and soul band, playing jazz drums and baking bread. But not at the same time.
Amazing Fact You Did Not Know - Fred used to breed hamsters. One female gave birth to 16 babies! |

Paul
Name: Paul Hendy
Paul is a self confessed ‘all rounder' – and by that he's not referring to his fine physique!
As well as presenting for us on Room 785 he's busy directing (theatre and TV), performing on various stages around the country, producing shows and, to cap it all, has written his first novel - 'Simon Peters: Diary of a C-List Celeb'!
We don't know how he does it all, but we're starting to suspect he has an identical twin. Actually, no, that would be too much to bear – Room 785's answer to The Chuckle Brothers! He's hosted loads and loads of top TV shows over the years like Wheel of Fortune and Don't Try This at Home, but will always have a special place for Room 785. And that place is normally on Thursdays between 3.30 and 5!
Amazing Fact You Did Not Know – Paul missed an open goal while playing footie at Wembley in front of 50,000 people and got the biggest laugh of his career! |

Richard
Name: Richard Orford
Richard's first performance was at the tender age of five, as the Shepherd's assistant in his primary school's highly acclaimed nativity play. Alas, he was overlooked on Oscar night and subsequently a 15-year barren spell followed in which he was offered no further parts.
Resigned to eternal obscurity, Richard got himself an education instead and went to college to become a qualified 'serious journalist'. This turned out to be a complete waste of time because his first job was on children's TV.
From ITV's hit show The Disney Club he moved on to become the roving reporter on Channel 4's Big Breakfast and has since appeared on pretty much every TV show you can think of, from This Morning to Holiday on a Shoestring and Blankety Blank. He recently became a fully-fledged gameshow host presenting the Challenge quiz show Defectors.
As well as presenting Room 785, Richard co-hosts the monthly movie review series The Box Office Boys with Paul, and is also a DJ on BFBS Radio 1.
In his spare time Richard is an avid supporter of West Bromwich Albion. But try not to hold that against him.
Amazing Fact You Did Not Know – Richard has had golf lessons from Will Smith, Alice Cooper and Nigel Mansell! |

Sim
Name: Simeon Armstrong Courtie
Born: Swindon (aaarrrgh!)
Sim's known as ‘Mr. Weekend' on Room 785. In fact, no one calls him that because they're too busy calling him other names! He ‘welcomes the weekend' live every Friday afternoon and stays in Room 785 throughout Saturday and Sunday morning.
“We give some of our biggest and best prizes away at the weekend,” he says, “so I feel very lucky to be the chap who makes people's day simply by drawing their name from a bucket!”. The producer of Room 785 is quick to point out that it is, of course, a very glitzy, showbiz bucket!
When he's not on our screens Sim presents a Sunday morning show on BFBS Radio 1, and relaxes by watching telly (you could say he takes his work home with him!).
Amazing Fact You Did Not Know – Sim can plaster walls. He says it's good to have a trade in case Room 785 boss Sharron fires him. |
