Broadcast Engineer - Vacancy – Chalfont

    

This is a rare opportunity to be part of the fast moving world of ‘Forces Broadcasting'. We are looking for an experienced Broadcast Engineer (ideally – five years experience) to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of studio and transmission facilities for the British Forces Broadcasting Service around the globe.

The successful candidate will be educated to Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent level in Electronic / Broadcast Engineering. Membership of a professional body, such as the IET would be preferable.

You will have experience of radio studio systems and / or radio, television or Vsat transmission, and be prepared to develop your skills to cover all aspects of the broadcast chain, from the Studio to the audience's home. A working knowledge of DALET and experience of project management would be an advantage.

Possessing a very communicative and resourceful nature, you will be prepared to undertake project and maintenance work, often at short notice in both the UK and overseas locations alongside the British Forces. A flexible approach is required, along with the ability to participate in an out-of-hours on-call system.

We are looking for an engineer who is able to display a clear understanding of the importance of customer care and has a dedication to the quality and reliability of our on-air services, particularly when working under pressure and against tight deadlines.

A full UK Driving Licence is required and you will be required to obtain MoD security clearances.
